Gasthof Waldwirt is located at an altitude of 800 meters, approximately 1.5 kilometers from the town center. The mountain lifts are easily accessible within a few minutes.

The history
The holiday hotel 'Gasthof Waldwirt
…is one of the traditional establishments in Russbach. Originally, it was the Wintersteller family’s residence. Today, the house has been accommodating guests from Austria and around the world for three generations. The story began on May 23, 1954, when Dorothea Wintersteller opened a bottle beer business.
In the following years
… through building expansions, the first guest rooms were made available. The success with the guests allowed for further expansion of the hotel. Johann Wintersteller and his wife Ingrid continued on this path. Johann took over the guesthouse in 1971 and expanded it to its current size.
2005
In 2005, he passed the baton to Werner Wintersteller. To provide guests with high comfort at a fair price, he carried out extensive renovations. Expanding the range of services ensured a contemporary offering that guests appreciate. One thing has remained unchanged since the founding of the hotel. The warmth of the Wintersteller family and their staff creates a family atmosphere that repeatedly attracts many guests to their mountain vacation in Russbach.
